Current Gallery: infrared ( piece)
The photography is in this gallery is all infrared shot digitally with a specially modified Canon dSLR. The subjects includes missions, churches, stone statues, automobiles, and architecture. The internal hot mirror, which is designed to block infrared light while allowing visible light to pass, is replaced with a Hoya R72 filter, which blocks visible light but allows the infrared light to pass. Some of the images are solely black and white while some of the images show a faux coloring that the R72 can create. The typical affects of infrared photography is that the sky will appear dark and trees and vegetation will appear white due them reflecting more IR light.
